A question that is frequently asked is about what bible is used on Walking in Torah. The CJB or Complete Jewish Bible is my favorite (This is Constance speaking).
The CJB is a unique English translation that restores the “Jewish” or Hebraic context of Scripture, helping readers see the Bible through the cultural and historical lens in which it was originally written.
Translated by David H. Stern, the CJB uses Hebrew names and terms—such as Yeshua for Jesus, Torah for the Law, and Adonai for the Lord—to connect readers more deeply to the Hebraic roots of our faith.
It preserves the original order of the Tanakh (Old Testament) and emphasizes the continuity between the Hebrew Scriptures and the New Testament, presenting the entire Bible as one unified story of God’s covenant with His people.
The CJB Study bible that I use also includes study notes that explain cultural, historical, and theological issues. It has essays, charts, cross-references and more.
